I had a wonderful weekend...

Family time on Friday night, Lowe's Creative Kids Workshop on Saturday while DH went four-wheeling, and the NKOTBSB concert on Saturday night! (For those who live under a rock, that would be New Kids On The Block & Back Street Boys) They were amazing. The show was at Fenway and although it was pouring, nothing beats a hometown concert. (NKOTB is from Boston, only a few towns over from where I grew up)

Sunday was my godson's 2nd birthday party (circus-themed, hopefully I'll have pics!) and then passing out in my bed by 9:30 pm. This morning I dropped the older 2 at camp and am trying to get started with Fly Lady but keep getting distracted by a million other little things. Sigh...I miss my Adderall...

McCalls M6130

I sewed this up during naptime this morning. (My son's, not mine)

It's McCalls M6130, and it includes 3 sizes of foldable grocery bags. This one was the small one. I don't know what I'll use it for but it's cute, no? The blueish color you see in the button holes is still-wet glue. It dries clear.

The pattern was super easy-a beginner could easily make this up in a few hours. The most time consuming part for me was the bias tape and making the flower (which was my own embellishment).

Quick Change Trousers

I whipped these up today using a bunch of fat quarters. I think the six month size is still a little big for my baby boy but he'll grow into them soon enough!

The pattern is from Anna Maria Horner's book Handmade Beginnings. Love everything in it!

I think the next project will be a baby girl dress for a friend of mine who delivered her third girl this morning!

I've been crafting but not photographing so please excuse my absence. I recently purchased 2 craft-related things that I'll share, however...

The first is the Car Decals Cricut cartridge. It's designed to make those vinyl decals you put on the back of your mom-mobile. I don't know that I will use it for that but the figures on it are super cute.

I'm doing more crafting since I bought my Gypsy too. I find myself designing things late at night while nursing the baby.

The other little present I bought myself is a pair of Gingher shears. I have had a pair of Fiskars dedicated only to fabric that has served me well but with the amount of sewing I've done this past year or two warrants a nice set. At least that's what I tell myself!

Craft Envy

As my pregnancy progresses, I am losing steam. I am tired more often, I am suffering from a jacked up SI joint which is causing sciatica, and my kids gave the wonderful gift of a goopy, drippy cold. Oh how I love preschool/kindergarten! I have not crafted in a while. And the things I have crafted, I have not photographed or blogged about. I am just tired, fat, and unmotivated. Thirty weeks down, 10 to go.

I do keep up on my crafting blogs though. One that I love is MADE. The tutorial posted today makes me wish I had more energy and motivation to make this gorgeous chenille blanket. Letters to Santa

I haven't digi-scrapped in quite a while but I was inspired to get into the Christmas spirit by starting letters to Santa with my kids. I created this paper with a kit from Hot Pink Pansy, it's called Merry Moosemas. Feel free to take them and use them with your kids too!

These should fit on letter-sized paper. I printed mine on cardstock and will be folding it into it's own envelope.

My former co-worker and friend, Liz, has a yummy cooking blog that I follow. She has great tips on nutrition and using fresh ingredients. I could probably post everything on her blog that I am going to try or have already tried, but I might as well just share the link with you because EVERYTHING looks delish!

Today, Liz posted a recipe for peanut butter dip. Usually, I serve apple slices with peanut butter to my kids but it is so thick that it's sort of hard to keep it on the apple slice (sort of like dipping a chip). This dip works because it's got yogurt to thin it out a bit and make it more viscous. (Is that the right word? My 12th grade physics teacher would be proud).

Creamy Peanut Butter Fruit Dip
Serves 4

2 c plain Greek yogurt (Fage 0% is my favorite)
1/4 c PB2 Powder (or creamy peanut butter)
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 packets stevia (or honey)

Whisk together all ingredients in a small bowl and chill. Serve with sliced apples, pears or bananas.

Nutritional Information (per serving): 86 calories, .8 g fat, 0 g sat fat, 0 mg cholesterol, 90 mg sodium, 7.1 g carb, 1 g fiber, 12.5 g protein

This would be great with the apples cut into rings (see my Apple Nachos post) and the kids love stuff cut into funny shapes.

Apple freaking Nachos, people!!

24 ServingsPrep/Total Time: 20 min.

Ingredients

36 caramels
1 tablespoon water
30 large marshmallows
1/3 cup butter, cubed
4 medium tart apples, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices
1/3 cup chopped dry roasted peanuts
1/3 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons Halloween sprinkles

Directions

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt caramels with water; stir until smooth.
Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, melt marshmallows and butter. Arrange apple slices on a large platter. Drizzle with caramel; top with marshmallow mixture. Sprinkle with peanuts, chocolate chips and sprinkles. Serve immediately. Yield: 24 servings.

Nutrition Facts: 1 serving equals 149 calories, 6 g fat (3 g saturated fat), 8 mg cholesterol, 76 mg sodium, 25 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 2 g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 1-1/2 starch, 1 fat.

The women behind Fleur Foto and Kami Friday Photography are two very close friends of mine and not only are they good looking gals, they can rock a DSLR like nobody's business. Luckily I have lots of events coming up where I will be in need of some photos.

Today we did a family photo shoot with Laura, of Fleur Foto. ~~I'm hoping~~ I know we will have a Christmas card-worthy shot in the group since I will be damned if I am making my cards this year! I'm all about Shutterfly and it's many lovely holiday designs.

Since we are a pug family (Lola and Sallie were our first babies), when I had Madison I knew I had to get this book for her. It's called Unlovable and it's by Dan Yaccarino. The illustrations are adorable and the story is a good one, with a lesson on being different and what happens when one tells a lie.

I'm making little Alfreds today at my Story & a Craft class today at the Y. Off to go cut with the Cricut!

I just received the fabric I ordered to make a wall-hanging for baby boy's room. Isn't it adorable?

I am torn between wanting to staple it to a canvas with batting and sewing a backing to it and making it a wall quilt. The former would be easier, I think.

I'm on a hair-bow kick since DD5 has been requesting them lately. I'm all too happy to oblige since up until now her interests revolve around Transformers and the like. Being the open-minded mom that I am, I bit my tongue and stopped shoving Barbies and Madame Alexander dolls in her face. I am still struggling with the fact that she would rather wear a dirty Red Sox hat than a Hanna Andersson dress, but I will take anything girly at this point!

(Just realized hubby has the cameras and he is at the lake with the kiddos so no pics tonight)

So...lots of craftiness going on around here but no proof!

DD5 and DS4 (well, 4 in a week or so) will be sharing a room soon. We have our bed situation figured out for the most part (a loft bed over a twin bed in an L-formation) but I want decor ideas. The walls are a butter-yellow and I won't change too much about that. We have one wall with colorful squares on it that will be painted over solid.

I made this with my Coiling Gizmo (that I purchased a year or so ago and promptly forgot about--don't judge me, you do it too).

This one was done with 12 gauge armature wire. I'm not in love with it but it looks cute on my wrist. Maybe I'll try itt again with studier wire.

This is another Coiling Gizmo creation with some Bali style beads.

And finally, a necklace with some clearance beads from Michael's!

I am dying to try making chain maille on a small scale (think: Byzantine bracelet). First, I want to learn how to make my own jump rings. Can't stomach buying a ton of them when it it simple to make them myself!

I've spent a lot of this day in bed while my amazing hubby worked on a souped-up Power Wheels jeep with the kids. My back is really acting up. I had sciatica while pregnant with DS3 and I fear this is a repeat. I laid on a heating pad with my Snoogle and watched crap TV for most of the afternoon. (Went grocery shopping this morning so I don't have to do it tomorrow...how impressed are YOU, dear readers?)

I'm about to get back into bed and snuggle up with my Snoogle, some tea, and the latest issue of Stitch. Heavenly!

Frustration

Since I always have 3 or 4 ~~hundred~~ crafting projects going on at once, one would think my chances of success are increased. Not so much. I have 2 projects that I have worked on today alone that might send me to the loony bin.

My knit hat and booties are just "eh". Natural Knits for Babies and Toddlers is not my friend right now. I have learned, however, that whenever one starts a new project, one needs to google for errata!!!!! I thought I was hallucinating, trying to turn this tiny little bootie on size 3 needles with sock yarn. I knit, frogged, knit, frogged, three times. Before reading the errata on the author's website, I thought to myself, "There ought to be a few rows here that seem to be missing". Lo and behold, I was right. For once.

The Boppy cover is giving me a migraine as well. Invisible zippers make me want to cry as it is. I got that part finished (it's passable but not pretty) and it turns out one side of the fitted cover is way too big. Never mind that stuffing the form into the case made me break out into a sweat. I'm waiting until I have stopped seeing red to re-do the seams.

I've busted out the Macintosh apple scented candles and plug in air fresheners and my home smells like autumn. I love it. It'll be even nicer when the weather gets cooler. I am really affected by scents and I truly believe they can lift your mood if you're feeling down. My faves: Buttercream, Apple Pie, Autumn Wreath, Harvest, and Candy Corn. Gotta love Yankee Candle!

I just finished another crib sheet. This one almost gave me an aneurysm. My serger un-threaded itself twice...which is a huge headache unto itself. Then, I measured my 45" wide fabric, post washer and dryer, and it had shrunk almost a full inch! I had to piece together so plain orange cotton fabric to make enough width to have a casing for the elastic. This has been on the sewing table for a week and a half now and I think I am done with making handmade sheets!

In getting ready for the Christmas card season (yeah, I said Christmas) I ordered an address stamp from Etsy. The seller is Asspocket Productions and she's got a lot of great stuff for excellent prices. She sent me my proof within hours of receiving my payment. I am looking forward to the mail!

I've started planning Baby's nursery bedding. We do not yet know the gender but will be finding out. In the meantime, I am planning a gender-neutral room since we will be playing musical rooms with the kids over the next 2-3 years. Here is the fabric I bought yesterday-I will be adding more but this is my palette to begin with. I want to add in green as an accent color. If it's a girl, I'll add in more ruffles.

Crafting Weekend

I took advantage of the kids being sick this week and crafted a bunch of things--fabric headbands, scrapbook pages, the baby sweater I started a few weeks ago. Pics to follow but I had to share this idea that I am totally drooling over. It's from a blog I frequent called Epbot (by Jen, who also authors Cake Wrecks). These Disney pressed penny accessories are fabulous!

These are a much better use of my collection than just having them sit in the collector's folder!

Kids' Passport Holders

I made these more for looks than actual functionality. For one, they will not ever be hanging from anything as the green strap might suggest. Secondly, they are open and stuff can fall out too easily. But I was playing with iron-on transfer paper and some fun fonts from Lettering Delights.

Hand, Foot, and Mouth

Both of my kids came down with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease this week. I have barely left the house since Sunday. One would think that the house would be sparkling, that the laundry would be all caught up, that my sewing pile would have diminished exponentially. One would think.

Instead I am finding myself loafing on the couch, showering every other day, not doing my hair, etc. Not a good look. I've been laying down while the kids nap, watching way too much tv, surfing the Web entirely too much, and playing Bejeweled for iPhone like it's my job. Not good for someone who is already prone to depression and is off her ADHD meds! Very good, however, for baking the bun in the oven. My first trimester queasies have vanished and I am almost back to my regular energy level.

I made a couple of things-superhero capes for my kids and a passport cover for myself. The pictures are lousy but the kids were in no mood to pose in good light.

Here it is! The stupid bias tape took the longest and was frustrating, especially to an inexperienced quilter! I'm pretty pleased overall!

Homemade bias tape

I tried my hand at homemade bias tape today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at the results! I have the 1" Prym bias tape maker which is pretty sumple to figure out. Cutting and sewing the fabric is the most tedious part. The fun part is feeding the fabric through and then pressing down the resulting tape.

I am working on a rainbow blanket so rainbow colored tape was my project du jour. Check it out!

After a bit of a crafting hiatus, I busted out the sewing machine after reading this blog and seeing this adorable project:

I just saw this in the craft store and wish I had thought of it sooner!

How many times have you cursed a punch for wrecking your paper because it was dull? If you're like me, it would be LOTS of times and then you would forget that it was dull and out it back in your drawer only to do the same thing the next time you craft. Well, I haven't tried this yet but rest assured, I will!

One thing I purchased last week before my Friday night crop...and I am in LOVE! Inkadinkado's Pigment Ink Stamping Markers. They are compact, easy to store, and ink evenly. They are vibrant and very neat-no clean up with the exception of your stamp. You can write with them if you like but they really are meant to ink up a stamp or the edge of your papers. I bought the Metallics and the Earthtones and hope to buy more. These will be replacing my ink pads, for sure.

I really like storing these...so much better than ink pads. The only drawback (and I don't really consider it one but I thought I would mention it) is that it takes a while for the ink to come down the felt tip. You really have to press down for a bit to draw the color into the pen.

I had a lovely party yesterday with Matt's side of the family for a combination going away (for SIL)/birthday (for me) celebration. It was simple-BBQ food, cake, ice cream. Sometimes it's the little things that make me happiest. Oh, and I am the proud owner of a beautiful reversible Vera Bradley tote bag! (Which will coordinate nicely with the other pieces I have in the Sittin' in a Tree line)

My SIL Jen bought some cool scrapbook paper and a new Pandora bead...the birthday present charm! My FIL also got me a bead for my bracelet. He is paying attention, people! I love these bracelets.

I crocheted 2 bags and started a scarf over the last few days and my wrist is really starting to hurt again. I probably need to look at the technique I am using (I'm self taught so I'm sure there is a much better method!)

I received my Fill-a-Box yesterday from the Craftser swap. It was jam packed with all kinds of goodies-pom pom yarn, scrapbook paper, beads, polymer clay, Altoids tins, and much more! I am mailing mine out today-I hope the recipient likes it!

I had a fabulous Mothers' Day. Did I get breakfast in bed? Nope. Did I get showered with presents upon presents? Nope. Did I get a card from my hubby? Nope. So why was it so great?

I spent TWELVE HOURS scrapbooking!

Yep-I packed up my shit and trucked it over to my favorite scrap joint and had a marathon day of relaxation. It was quite lovely. I was apprehensive about getting seated at a table with cuckoo birds and I was not disappointed. I met two fun, funny, dynamic ladies whose blogs you can read here and here. B & P, I'm so glad I got seated with you-I had a blast!

I'll take and post some pics at another time. I think the kids need to eat dinner or something crazy like that.

Blumenthal Printable Fabric

I purchased this a long time ago and forgot about it. For Mothers' Day, I decided it would be nice to showcase my kids' artwork and incorporate it into something useful. I decided to make a bag.

I started by scanning the kids artwork, opening it in Photoshop Elements and creating a fill pattern. (Basically, get the image you want, re-size it, select it, go to Edit->Define Pattern). I opened up a new image, then used the paint bucket to fill in with my kids' drawings, tweaked the colors to match the bag fabric and came up with this:

I printed it out and it came out really light (but I didn't mind, as I wanted it to be very subtle).

The directions then state to peel off the backing...

Then run it under water...

And let it dry...

I sort of cheated and bought a bag kit at AC Moore...

I'll let you know how it goes!

Well, the front is all pieced, the back and sides are laid out and it's coming along nicely. I sort of wish I didn't pre-wash these fabrics. Since they are not something I'll be throwing in the washer and dryer on a regular basis there wasn't a need to pre-shrink the fabric and I have a feeling I am a few inches short on some pieces. I think the pre-packaged fat quarters can be on the skimpy side.

I've been a busy bee!

Working backwards from today...

I started a 6" wide pieced strip to embellish a plain king-sized khaki duvet cover I am sick of. My husband is all about saving money where we can (and really, shouldn't we all?) so instead of shopping for a new one, I am making this. I plan to sew it to the existing cover, horizontally so it will be at the foot of the bed when it's made, about a foot from the end of the bed. Can you picture it?

The next project is giving me an aneurysm. I bought this fabric my son said he loved, made him a shirt from Butterick 3475 and then whilst hemming one of the shoulder seams, I went too fast with my serger and cut a big old hole in the back that really isn't patchable. I couldn't even make it pretty for the picture, I was so disgusted with ~~the damn shirt~~ myself.

I also made him a shirt with fabric he picked out but then decided he hated so it's wrinkled from being stuffed into his closet in a fit of rage. Why do I even try anymore?

I highly recommend this pattern if you've never sewed a boys' shirt before. Some call them "camp shirts", and they have lots of patterns out there but this one was very easy to understand if you have a basic knowledge of reading a pattern. I was scared of the collar but not anymore! I still fear buttonholes and will not attempt them so I fake it with snaps. I even have a fancy machine that will do it for me but I still refuse to try. It's my Achilles' heel.

Hmmm...what else...?

Oh yes, I trucked out to Portsmouth to a fabric store I have never frequented and was taken aback by how many cool fabrics they carried! I (of course) wanted to dig through the clearance bins and I found this ancient (looking) June Colburn pattern for a purse, next to a set of bamboo handles with a purse base and a pack of fat quarters by Joel Dewberry from the Aviary line. Score!!!

They are in the dryer as I type this.

Last but not least, I have some flannel waiting to be cut for the little ones' pj pants. Those should sew up in about an hour.

I made my first purchase from You Can Make This today. Normally, I turn my nose up at the site since many of the patterns are either (a) really simple, or (b) free elsewhere on teh interwebs like at Craftster. I got caught up in the finished products shown by other customers and my girl was sitting next to me egging me on. Since I would just about cut off my left arm if she would agree to wear a dress, I pulled the trigger and reduced my Paypal account by $9.95.

The catch was, she asked me to make her a dress with Transformers fabric. I looked. Not that hard, but I looked. We compromised on this:

I have it in the wash right now and am trying to be patient while it goes through the dryer too. I am anxious to start cutting!

Have you ever made a project that looks way more complicated than it really is? Like, so much so that you are almost embarrassed? I whipped up these 2 bathing suit cover ups in literally 10 minutes. LITERALLY. Now, I didn't pre-wash and iron because...hey...it's me we're talking about. But how cool does it look to say you made Fancy Nancy dresses?

So I have to come clean-it was abut 3 straight seams. I used Jo-Ann Fabrics Mock Smock material.

I've been reading about digital stamps in several of the scrap booking and card magazines I thumb through and it's intrigued me. Much like I made a partial leap from traditional scrap booking to digital, I think I am making a partial defection over to the digital side.

Here is a greeting card I made with the handmade paper. I love it!

I used my Sizzix Texture Boutique and Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders.

My girl and I made paper again today. She chose the colors to make a bright orange paper.

(Pardon the terrible lighting. I am out of natural light for the day) :-)

This next one I made and it's special to me since the petals and uds are from a tree in my front yard. I call it my "Maddie Tree" since it blooms for a week every year, right around her birthday. It's a gorgeous tree and it's unfortunate the time we get to enjoy it is so fleeting.

Shi Fan

Tonight we are cooking shi fan (SHEE-fahn) for dinner. I used to eat it as a kid (my dad was the best at making it) and it was usually reserved for breakfast or when one was sick. It's a rice porridge served with lots of little side dishes one would never find in the aisles of Hannaford! I miss it (since I am not great at making it myself) but tonight we are making a stab at it. It's the rice cooker as we speak. Found a blogger who wrote up a post that encompasses what shi fan is. Batiking, part 2

This it turning out to be a longer craft than I anticipated. Hopefully I will have my kitchen island back soon!

As you can see, the glue spread a LOT after I initially applied it. Some of my designs are unrecognizable.

These pics are terrible but I didn't have tome to edit them before I posted them since I had to go and be a mom and make something for my poor children to eat.

Gel Batik, Part 1

I subscribe to Craftzine.com's blog and was immediately taken with this fun-looking project. Check out the tutorial here.

The blog post actually directs the readers to this blog and a very detailed tutorial is nicely explained with photos. I started the first half today with my four-year-old daughter.

Started off with flour sack cloth from the Dollar Tree...

And a generic gel glue from AC Moore. (Can't beat a buck a bottle! I bought 3!)

Both of us doodled with reckless abandon and used quite a bit of glue. For future projects I think I will try another method of dispensing rather than using it right from the bottle. I couldn't get as fine a line as I wanted and the glue certainly spreads after it's been painted on.

We used about 1/2 of one bottle and 1/4 of another.

We are pleased so far! Stay tuned for Part 2!!

I'm a terrible Blogger

But I've been swamped lately. School vacation was moree work than I imagined. I can now add a new title to my ever-growing list: Referee. Seriously, my kids fight about EVERYTHING these days. (They are 3 and almost 5) I was ready to tear my hair out. To boot, the first days back at school, my hubby went away on business and I had to contend with the change in routine for the kids AND severe Daddy Detox. It wasn't pretty.

This week has been full of school activities, including planning for the 50th anniversary of White Wing and fundraising, as well as writing a proposal for a new school library and another proposal for a crafting class I am going to teach at the Nashua Y.

Heading to an awards dinner for hubby's work tonight and an overnight in Boston on Saturday for a college reunion, of sorts. When can I relax again???

If you haven't fallen asleep from boredom yet, thanks for sticking with me. I'm still crafting away but not really on the computer as much lately.

And I'll leave you with this memory I am cherishing: the view from our hotel room at Bay Lake Tower. I miss the (relative) warmth and sun!

Croup sucks

For whatever reason, my 3 year old son is very susceptible to croup. His first bout with it was at the tender age of 6 weeks old. He was hospitalized and it was mighty scary. He has had it about 4 times a year since then. Last June, he was taken to the ER via ambulance and it was a scary experience. Last night was almost as bad but not ambulance-ride-bad. So we brought him in, he had an oxygen blow-by and and nebulizer of racemic epinephrine, followed by a steroid drink and instructions to call the ped in the morning. To top it off, my daughter has an awful cold with cough. Sometimes I hate winter!

These are simply awesome. I love the labels that are dishwasher safe, the shoe labels, the clothing labels, and their adorable bag tags. My kids' preschool has a fundraiser with Mabel's and I will be stocking up again soon!

They are easy to apply, durable, and brightly colored to avoid mixing up the numerous layers of winter gear we require for a New Hampshire winter.

The die cuts were pre-made for us-we just had to assemble them. They were created with the Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge.

So here is the finished product:

The wording uses Cricut cartridges Plantin Schoolbook and Jasmine. The bird at the end of the sentiment is from Home Decor Accents.

This weekend I also did a bit of sewing. I reconstructed a white Hanes sweatshirt with some pink chenille for Miss Maddie and appliqued some pirate fabric on to a white T shirt for Mason.

I have discovered I freaking HATE applique and will avoid it all costs. However, in my research on how to use the Cricut to make appliques, I saw a cool technique. Instead of using freezer paper, iron, etc., a short cut would be to put a marker in the Cricut (removing the blade) and drawing the design on to the Wonder Under (or whatever stabilizer you like) then ironing it right on to the fabric and cutting. it out.

Fiskars Eyelet Setter

I bought the Fiskars Eyelet Setter on a whim this week. I had no idea how it worked but it was pretty easy to figure out once I played with it for about 5 mins.

I will post the directions from the website (so you know I am not plagiarizing!) and I'll put in some of my own pictures.

It's the size of a pen and is basically a large spring with a tool on each end. One end cuts and one end sets the eyelet.

1. To punch hole - Place the hole punch (purple end) on the paper. Always use a craft mat to prevent damage to surface underneath. Firmly grasp the purple grip with one hand, pull the grey grip straight up and release.
To prevent confetti jam in barrel: Use a paper clip to remove paper after every few punches. For Best Results: Always pull spring straight up, not to the side or at an angle. Do not overstretch spring--- pulling spring beyond 2" may affect performance of product.
2. Place your eyelet in the hole. The front of the eyelet should be face down on the craft mat.
3. To set the eyelet - Place the setting tip (grey end) in the eyelet. Firmly grasp the grey grip with one hand, pull the purple grip straight up and release. Repeat as necessary.

My experience was pretty straightforward. I used it on a piece of junk mail first. Had to pull it back and "snap" it twice before I figured out the strength of the tool. Then I used it on a fat piece of felt and it worked like a charm.

Pros: Nice and easy to master, super portable, compared to setting with a hammer, it's fairly quiet.
Cons: Only does one size of eyelet

So I usually have reservations about things I make by hand and put up in my Etsy shop. It's like putting a piece of myself out there. Sometimes my fragile little ego can't handle it when people are not falling all over themselves to buy my shit.

Today I made something small that I really like. Enough so that I will make more and put them in my shop. Take a look, won't you?

It's a combo of felting, embroidery, some sewing and some sequins. Some of the felt is upcycled from an old sweater. I love it and hope others do too.

I bought these at a local consignment shop and felted them yesterday. They are a gorgeous color...one is a cherry red and the other a bright orange. I want to cut them up and make them into something but I am nervous I will wreck them. Silly, I know, since that is the only reason I even purchased them!

OK, I am a sucker for new tools. No sooner did I get my Sizzix Texture Boutique when I started lusting after Zutter's Bind it All. I am bidding on one on ebay and figre if I don't win the it wasn't meant to be :-)

Re-vamping my Etsy Shop

I'm going to be redoing my Etsy shop. I need to figure out what direction I'm gong to take with this venture or if I'm even going to continue it at all. I've left the beautiful Italian trim for sale as it's the only thing I really have at the moment.

I want to concentrate on paper crafting, sewing, maybe a little crochet. I'm drawing inspiration from new places and want my shop to be fresh.
